The club leaders are drag/performace/pro's that are coo-ordinating a NZ wide Mitsubishi GTO performace car club.

Generally you have to go through them but I am sure that you are more than welcome, a 74 GTO? I am not sure of one dated back to then sorry I think its 1990's onwards.

There is the possibility of a Auckland 'chapter' for best use of words.

But definitly visit the forum link.

You will find ALOT of good advice and good guys and girls there, there are scores of GTO owners on that forum, no bullshit like the over crowded Mitsubishi forum.

Check it out.

Laughing
better do some research

Lol young fellas these days only know the Poor Mans Ferrari shape GTO. Were you dumb enough to hand over $160k when they were new?

I remember the old colt GTOs!! There used to be one running around down here with a 302 Windsor in it! sounded awesome!
[quote]
now now peace in the thread.

Hey if I dont know certain cars it cause I dont bother.

As for the 'poor mans ferrari' hey, it turns heads, they go hard if you spend the money to get them to standard, and end of the day......they are cool.

I did some research, Colt GTO......nice.

Anyways, if you wanna see some of the pics of the club cars follow those links.

By the way, as it does we come across a bit boy racery, that is not the case....and most of us are 'not' young fella's thankyou very much....quite serious 'men' GTO owners.....$30,000 under the hood cash serious owners lol.

Peace.

haha, good one, yea you get used to the anti's it gets like that out of jealousy I think.
[quote]
Anyway, as I was saying.

Car Club is open to anyone with a GTO, feel free to have a look.

It aint that bad if your a serious enthusiast, for the rest of you, be at peace will ya?

This was once a serious invite turned into a 'who's who' and got the best car thread.

Dont had/got one...............you dont got an opinion.
[quote]
I think the thread is failing buddy. Why dont you drop in a 1UZFE and R154 a nice big diff and axles to handle the real power?

Or failing that......give up and spend 15k on a 600cc bike that'll do 11 sec 1/4s straight out of the box?....... I did anyway......Honda CBR600RR red n black......plate cypher.......dont worry, Ill give you a head start bro Rolling Eyes
[quote]
haha fair enough. Yea your right, nobody here interested. Oh well I tried.

And hey, I like bikes, head start of course.........

You would have too keep moving though lol

I'm just guessing theres not really alot of GTO owners here - especially if you're looking for model specific.

You're better to talk to guys on mitsi forums or just general performance forums (e.g Performancecar; importx; etc...). there are also some GTO owners & enthusiasts over on GPForums Wink

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the GTO; i'd rather a Supra with a 2JZ or a GT-R with an RB26 if im going for a performance street car. but each to their own I say!

Goodluck Very Happy

I've got one of those old 73 galant's a galant colt gto gs2000.
Theres actually a slightly different 72 model but only ever seen 1, most are '73-'75.

The gto gsr was the original 70's mitsi works car (race car).

My old one was very original and traight but now a complete rust bucket and my new er one is just full of bog including roof and in desperate need of some restoration body work.
I may have too sell to someone with the money or time.
