Hey guys/gals.. I'm taking a trip to NZ next year and want to check the breaks scene, what nights should I look out for in what City? I'm going to Wellington/Auckland and some places in the Sth Island as well.

Cheers!

Stace - that site is damn good, and had some kickass links to streaming 2-step garage all over the web. Cheers for that - it will be much enjoyed!

Although now I want to move to Auckland to go to the Hookie gigs..... :-/ It's too long until the next Wgtn Steppin' Up. Sad

Aside from also featuring myself each and every Thursday at Fu with Schumacher, we also have occasional guests (sometimes internationals - there may_ be a very special guest on Thursday June 13th).

And following the success of the inaugural event, the word wit ma man on the street page 3 is that 'Breakerz Delight' looks set to be a monthly Saturday at Mix bar with a rotating roster of djs including:

Page 3
A-Spark
Loki
Random Play
Snitch
Timmy Schumacher
Tobi
and more...

Next one is looking to be Saturday June 1st with Page 3, Tobi, myself and one other tbc...

For welli peeps, I'm also guesting at Paradiso Bar on Fri 31st May for "Digital Boogie" playing an exclusive breaks set with a (yet tbc) local. Other than that, there is the occasional "steppin up" party at Studio 9, which is more 2-step as well, rather than straight-up breaks.

Also heard a whisper that there may be a breaks room at bfm's Oonst party on Friday the 7th of June.

Also look out for a breaks line-up at the second 'analog' party held at the Opium Trading Company, Basement, Mid City, Auckland, (First one is tech-house).
