Breadmaker- a tech toy??

know that at first blush, a breadmaker is not a tech toy.... but wait! I have just got one and it is awesome! There are so many features- and if you like cooking or baking your own bread, it opens up a sea of possibilities.. like choosing your own wheat and stuff, and making Soda Bread.

I got the SD 2500 WXC,Breadmaker
and it is like my ipod, camera and lap-top rolled iknto one in the worls of baking bread.

Just thought I should try to broaden horizons by exploring the fringe of tech... cooking tech rocks!

It's like your ipod, camera and lap top rolled into one, with the caveat that it doesn't do anything except for making bread?

I think I'd like to buy a breadmaker when I live alone again (would NOT work here). Bakery bread kicks supermarket breads arse across town so I imagine making your own bread would be equally good or even better.

Lots of people buy them, use them for a bit then it goes in the cupboard though... Also, don't they bake with a paddle stuck up their arse ruining one side of the loaf?
