OK... so Alonso has been given a 'd' spec engine while Fisichella has the newer 'e' spec engine which aparently is worth up to 1/10th per lap (although Alsonso can overcome that with his driving)..

Schumy, who has no option but to go for everything, has been given a super engine which can rev to over 20,000rpm.

So...

- Will Renault's conservative approach for Alonso get him home in 8th or better?

- Will Ferrari's super-spec engine just blow itself up?

- Will another team (using a Ferrari engine either this year or next) accidently bump Alonso off the track?

- Will any foul-play affect the results?

Of course Alonso will finish well up. He will finish second behind Michael. Even with a less powerfull motor, who else can beat him? The Renault team is just sooo good

yeah you would put money on alonso getting 8th or better, he and shumy are in a class of thier own, closely followed by raikkonen... if he has a reliable car he will do it Car

Kimi could be looked at as another person in this basket.

So who do we have in our paranoid conspiracy basket today?

Kimi
Michael Schumacher
Felipe Massa
Webber
Coulthard
Doornbos
Speed
Liuzzi

Does that cover it? Not bad really, 8 cars out of 22.

Kimi wont.. he's seeking an early out from his Mclaren contract to allow him to start testing at Ferrari. They wouldn't be too accomodating if he piled into their next years driver.

DC - not likely - not his style.

Massa - will do whatever Todt/Brawn tell him to - lap dog.

Doornboss/Webber/Speed - all hand-grenades waiting to fuck up someone's race as they often do.

Liuzzi - no way. He's out of an F1 drive as it is and will be trying as hard as anything to impress prospective employers.

That pretty much covers everyone I think Razz

Yeah, kind of a bummer that, at this stage, it doesn't look like MS and Alonso will have too much wheel to wheel for the initial part of the race.

Worse still, MS is surrounded by Robert Kubica and Webber who could both be liabilities in the first lap.

On a good note though Williams just signed a major new sponsor. AT&T... would be great to see them return to top form.

Truer words never spoken.

Frank must have been spitting tacs seeing his two drivers take each other out on the first lap of the last race.
