Brain coming soon !!!!!! please read

seeing theres a lot of enthusiasm on here about the Brain, grant and i have decided to throw another one. havent sorted out a venue yet or a dj line up, so suggestions are welcome.

if you would seriously like to see another Brain can you please post below your ideal venue and your ideal dj line up

i think powerstation will still b a good venue.
town hall might b a bit too big..but ticket sales would decide that.

Get in DJ's who are still trying to make the all ages scene thrive, the ones that have put in that extra bit to help get the scene rolling again.
And Dr J don't take this the wrong way, but remember it takes years to get to the brain, just ask guys like adam, and jason Ng (Gway) a lot of them didnt start playing out until after a year of bedroom djing! And you cannot tell me that they arent good djs because it took them that long. And no i do not want a bitch fight from that comment.
But seeing as we are going fo shameless self promotion, I did put on that huge ass party in albany at the end of last year

Hold on one minute i apologise to all for my last line. That is unlike me (im sure most people that know me would vouch for that), i would normally keep my mouth shut, but i guess its just one of those days.

I think there should be a nice combo of seasoned pros and talented newcomers. Probably only one or two newcomers though. That way you get something fresh but you also get the stuff that you know you like and is good, plus u keep that good ol' Brainy flavour.

Previously, dj's for the brain have consisted of, Kam, Haze, Adam Bomb, Scoob-E and Sam Hill, with appearances by 12inch, Gway and Damnation. So personally i think you should start with them.

As newcomers, some people have suggested Dr.J, sure he plays some good stuff, but too many times I've seen him clear a floor like nobodies business. No offence ment Dr.J, it just means that there is more for you to learn, as does everyone.

Aside from Dr.J there are the likes of Peroxide who hosted and played at the rather large Albany party, Llewelyn who also played at the Albany party, and Sez who put on the Journey.

I am sure there are plenty more newcomers and plenty of people who hav been djing for a while but havent been able to get out there who would jump at the chance to play at a big event such as the Brain. So as a solution to sorting through all these hopefulls i suggest a trial or audition of sorts, where people bring in a CD of theirs that they have mixed, apply in writing saying why it should be them that play. Once you have sorted through the undesirables you could then go on to getting the chosen to play live for you. This way you can truely deside which dj's would be the better ones to play.

Sorry to bung the thread up, i have another idea.
My opinion say's that maybe change the dj's a bit as they are always, always the same cru who do all age gig's. 48 Sonic and NickD back2back like klub2k had a couple of years ago, something different because we all need it and it will make for something special, just like this brain will be aye!

Something a bit different would be to bring back Dj battle's to the Brain. Come on, you know it makes for one hell of a night!

i think we deserve an all niter because dont dont get out much (coz of our age) so i recon it would be nice for once in a while to have a all niter. i fully agree with golfpunk with the times.
