B Boy Swerv1 and B Girl Tweek (organizers of the Bodyrock events) have captured the NZ B Boy and B Girl energy with their eagerly anticipated event for the 2006 New Zealand hip hop calendar - Wellington’s own B Boy/ B Girl hip hop extravaganza Bodyrock 7 2006

Hip Hop music is huge here in Aotearoa but little is known about the other elements, Aerosol Art, Turntablism and B Boying/B Girling. In acknowledgment to these matters, B Boy Swerv1 and B Girl Tweek created an event specifically to highlight the hip hop dancer - the B Boy:

“At the time (1999-first bodyrock event), there weren’t any events to cater for the B Boys. So Body Rock was put together to be a platform and to highlight the dancers of hip hop instead of being just in the background”.

Body Rock attempts to gather the worlds best B Boys and B Girls, raising the level of hip hop dance here in Aotearoa. 2006 installment brings over 3 of Arizona's dopest B Boys and style masters: House1, B Boy Denote and B Boy Miracles from Furious Styles Crew, Arizona, USA.
Body Rock7 has gained the most international attention ever, being considered one of the biggest Australasian B Boy/B Girl events.

New initiative for 2006, Bodyrock 7 will be an 'absolutely, positively' FREE 2 day dynamic event of hip hop culture, B Boying and B Girling, sun and fun and enjoyment to encourage all the dancers, hip hop heads, family, friends and the Wellington community to come and 'get on down'.

Thursday 19th of Jan event will run from 6pm - 10pm including the 1 on 1 B Boy Battle for Supremacy and the 1 on 1 B Girl Battle for Supremacy (Prelims and Quarter Finals) with winners having the opportunity to win cash prizes of $1000 for the winning B Boy and $700 for the top B Girl. Also there will be dance cyphers, call outs and informal panels from the international guests.

Friday 20th of Jan will run 9am - 5pm and feature a 25 meter Graffiti Wall for some of Wellingtons best and up and coming Writers, the semi’s of the 1 on 1 Battle for Supremacy as well as a Style Battle, Footwork Battles, Power Battles, a Black book competition and a MC and funk showcase and the finals of the Battle for Supremacy Battles, as well as a special guest performance by the internationals. Soooooo if this all sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before, then this event is FOR YOU!!

Bodyrock 7 will be held at Civic Center in Wellington on Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th of January 2005.
