I played a warehouse party for NYE whilst i was in San Francisco last week. Whilst all the rest of the djs were playing old skool boring ploddy house with a little funk thrown in, i jumped on and played some pumpin electro-prog and everyone loved it, but they commented on how they had never heard that sound before! -shit!- how long has electro-prog been going??
Needless to say, i tore the party a new sound hole and wanted to play for ever, but had to leave early cause we were flying back to NZ early the next day. Bummer Rolling Eyes

That's why Risky. They either wank over Mark Farina or sit-in-a-circle ethnic drum groups or they drive out to the desert to listen to Rabbit in the moon.

Their strict no alcomohol policy after 2am tends to fuck the club scene a bit there. Ive had a few friends check out Ruby Skye (arguably the best club in SF) and apparantly it doesnt matter if Danny Howells or Nick Warren is at the decks - 2am hits, the bouncers get heavy on anyone holding a drink and the club empties out.

Mind you I hear that, when mardi gra hits the bay area, they all lose the plot on minimal techno and theres not a vial of amyl for sale within 50 miles.
