The place I work managed to get themselves blacklisted with a few places around the world, one of which is AOL, and its not causing them some grief, in that they have customers and stuff with these ISPs.
They got themselves blacklisted by having their mail server as an open relay without realising it. I'm pretty sure it has since been closed, and did check it with my limited knowledge of smtp.
How exactly do you check if it is still open. The server is running Exchange 5.0, I think.
And how do you try to go about getting unblacklisted from someone like AOL?
