Jacques Kallis is the best batsmen in the world and from time to time he gets out!

last 10 overs:
56 runs
2 wickets
5.6 rpo (obviously)

I like to see us play aussie at there own game, but yeah, couple of silly outs so far, def need someone to anchor a bit.
[quote]
Made it past 100. If they can get up towards the Aussie score without losing another wicket I will be a bit happier.

I suppose Taylor has got to 40 playing shots, so he may as well continue if it's working. Perhaps Flynn can anchor now.
[quote]
thye did well to force Ricky to bring Symonds on, and it looks like its getting quite nice to bat on as it dries, this next session will decide the flow of the match imo.
[quote]
Im going to give them these two sessions. If we can bat through that and get a slight leed then I will be very happy. Perhaps a little rain tonight get some moisture back into the pitch and try to roll Aus ... Sunday/Monday is set for some hot sunshine making conditions for NZ to bat and chase down something like 200-250 good Very Happy

Taylor out in the first over after lunch.

You guys might complain about Healy's comments about the Aussies having a lead, but unless someone (Vetorri) gets a decent innings Aussie are going to have a fist innings lead.
[quote]
Maybe we could get up to their score, then Southee can come in and smash 70-odd off 40 balls again.
[quote]
I just really hope they get some sort of lead. It will help psychologically in the field.
[quote]
that was to be expected really...
[quote]
:@
[quote]
Fucking useless. It should have only taken two players to get a half decent score to get there.

What happens now? Aussie pile on 300+ in the next day and a bit then bowl us out for under 200 again?
[quote]
lol
[quote]
40/3. Maybe Aussie won't get that 300 I was talking about.
[quote]
No killer instinct
[quote]
can't say i would've ever guessed the score would be what it is after 2 days, even in the conditions.

I think we could be in with a sniff getting anything around 250. Much more than that at it's getting pretty unlikely... Aus still massive favourites to win this
[quote]
2 shocking calls for us = awesome
about time we got the shitty calls
[quote]
One more wicket ... Can we please not take another 50 runs to get the last one out.
[quote]
NZ better not fuck up again when they bat. I want some decent viewing this evening.
[quote]
We can but hope.

At least it only took us 30 runs finish them off Neutral
[quote]
Crap.
[quote]
Yay. We get to see another disgraceful NZ batting performance. Neutral

I might start watching something else.
[quote]
Taylor and Flynn looking good at the moment though. I just wish we were maybe 2 down rather than 4 ...and I wish we could find some openers that could see off the new ball. This pitch looks good for batting when the ball gets a bit older and stops moving around off the seam.
[quote]
Definitely good to switch back and see another 50 runs for no loss.

I expect now that I'm watching again it'll all go pearshaped
[quote]
IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!! You spoke too soon.

Flynn just got bowled. He really seemed to be struggling against Johnson the last few overs.

I think almost all hope is gone now ...unless Taylor gets a big 100 and Vetorri saves the day.
[quote]
Crying or Very sad

Bye bye Flynn.

Kiss of death ... Sorry guys.
[quote]
And Australia can get fucked with their permanently slow over rate that means they always go over time and the batsmen have to deal with shadows going across the pitch.

Have they ever managed to meet the overrate requirements in the past couple of years?
[quote]
Bowled off the last ball of the days play without offering a shot. It doesn't get much more Neutral than that.
[quote]
Ball that got Flynn was a fucking beauty though
[quote]
I don't expect them to win. Then again nobody expected the Kiwis to beat Aussie to win the League.

I hope the get within 100 of the required runs.

Weren't the commentators having a whinge about the batsmen not following etiquette by not being ready when the bowler was ready to go? I guess they can get fucked too.
[quote]
Aussie win by 149 runs *yawn* .

Hope we get some better viewing next weekend.
[quote]
I think we have the team to do it, just lacking a shitload of experience, I think we would of won teh game with a Stephan Fleming or Nathan Astle in the team.

We bowled very well, just lacked direction with batting.

Elliot to be dropped though IMO. And maybe Patel in for O'Brien(although it's more likely to be Southee unfortunately) on a turning Adelaide pitch.

Fuck knows why Elliot and Redmond ar ein this team.. They are absolute shit. Use someone who is going to be of use to this team in the future for fucks sake
[quote]
Drop Elliot for Fulton, use Ryder as your medium pace option and beef up your batting order at the same time.
[quote]
Oh and Flynn needs to go up the order imo. We need a grafter at the top of the order, someone who can hang around for a long time and he has a great technique for hanging in there.
[quote]
We do, it would be good for our left-right combos too....but the problem is McCullum is pulling rank and insists he bats at 5. And as arguably NZ's most talented batsman he has a case, problem is at the moment our top order is so brittle he is entering the fray far too early

IMO There isnt enough media talk of Cumming getting another shot, hes a limpet at times. Id rather have him than Bell who I think is flakey
[quote]
Call up Rob Nicol. Call up Tim McIntosh. And that other opener.

Kyle Mills to open the bowling with Chris Drum (back from retirement)
[quote]
I think this'll be Redmond's last test (if he doesn't get dropped already, but I wouldn't want to see Fulton open). Give someone new a chance for the home series.

Well I may be wrong about O'Brien

Nice start, 101/1 at lunch is pretty good, never seen Redmond so aggressive Laughing

Looks like a pitch that won't cause much trouble, so up to the batsmen not to throw away silly wickets.

Current partnership 55 runs, 10.1 overs, RR: 5.40 (Redmond 40, Ryder 13)

[quote]
I'll take 101/1 as a decent morning session. Much better than the previous efforts.

3 overs for 30 runs for Hauritz. Looks like they have a plan to really go after him.
[quote]
Goddammit! All three batsmen have gotten themselves out.
[quote]
Jeeze, would be nice if they could somehow fucking stick the fuck around
[quote]
Redmond getting runs is almost a bad thing... now he has a chance of not getting dropped...

i love how vetorri's playing for the not out.... takes a single off the first ball of the over to expose O'Brien

O'Brien out. >_<

And fuck you Tony Greig. Patronising bastard: "Oh Martin's done well, he got bat on ball".

Martin out.

God, that was utter capitulation. Neutral

Ahahahaha, Hayden run out. I feel slightly better.

NZ all out for 270.
Oz 1/38.

About what? It is many overs for 1 bowler in an innings, and i cant recall it happening in recent test cricket. Find some stats to prove me wrong au.
[quote]
that should be redmond's last ever innings for NZ
[quote]
Too much hating on Redmond Mutant..... I think he is worth playing a bit longer, 2 good knocks.... one pretty much saving us from losing to Bangledesh. I cant think who can replace him anyway Bell and Papps pile on the runs domestically but are too flakey at this level

Cumming would be my only other pick and he survives on grit alone. Its not like opening the batting at test level is easy
[quote]
Getting out to the sort of shot he did today off the second ball of the day is just inexcusable.. i'd rather he prodded around for 20-30 balls and nicked out.... he's clearly not a test level player, and most likely never will be... I think we should give someone else a go, there are a few guys around who might do well at Test level (or might not, be we'll never know till we try)..

Having said that, I doubt he'll actually be dropped for the windies. That will definitely be his last chance, because I can't imagine they'll have much of an attack to threaten us
[quote]
we'll be lucky to make it to tea Sad
[quote]
They're gonna lose by an innings. This is beyond embarrassing.

Paul Harris bowled somethng like 55 oves against India in March for something recent. In the history of cricket there has been many times.

great way to farewell Bracewell. Completely capitulating in the second innings. He probably asked the players to bat to lose. We're playing like fucking schoolgirls.
