would there be any interest in this? A few mates have got together and have a wicked idea for a fortnightly hardcore gig.

Read all the UK websites - hardcore is making a mad comeback, the latest Ministry mag has a big front page article on it, all the classic hardcore trax are being re-pressed, even some of the old labels (the best ones too!) are releasing new shit.....

The idea is a regular gig with props, whistles, UV, the worx - but would there be any interest? It would be AllAges, Max $8 entry, fairly underground (using mailing lists and word of mouth as opposed to radio ads), spending the money on some wicked props and good times.

All the old hardcore DJ's (with collections spanning the last 10 years) are dead keen - but what do you guys think?

i think it sounds good man! i think anything u throw at the all ages would have a good turn up. i know i will be keen and so will a few of my mates so i think its a gooooood idea :o)

where at?
some small underground warehouse would be mint as!

as most people are a bit older now (most of those that remember the good old days of Hardcore) we would probably open a little later than most AllAge events...agree/disagree?

Small underground warehouse is cool for the underground factor, but impossible to hold it regularly. I'm a firm believer in not looking that gift-horse in the mouth and at last check we still had plenty of 'legal' venues we can use. (not knocking your idea though golf, maybe if it gets real big, then we could move it somewhere like that?)

The key would be to bring as many mates as you can. At around $8 we'd be able to cover all the costs, venue/security/lights/sound and maybe a bit left over for the DJ's themselves - but only if we could get heaps of people there.

I managed to buy up 80% of Sample Gee's old breaky hardcore collection from 1991-4 and I'm DYING to crank it!! Lets get the fun back into raving Smile

This sounds so good. i like golfs idea about the underground wearhouse thing.. that sounds pretty kewl.

It would be easy to get heaps of people to go. because $8 isnt much to ask for.. sounds like a good deal. (because people are sometimes stingy about money these days.. and always make excuses.. and with only $8 to pay.). No body can make excuses so everyone will have to go. :\

wooohooo yay for the all ages scene starting up again. Very Happy

Righty,

things are moving along nicely. As previously stated, we don't wanna use mainstream media to get this happening, preferring to keep it a little 'underground'. So if you want to be kept up with the progress, please send an email to:

happy4hardcore@hotmail.com

We'll send out updates as they develop. Launch date is March....and we got some real cool shit happening!!

YAY YAY YAY!

But i cant get onto this site.. it always fucks up.. some script error thing pops up, and some advertisment and then it freezes.. So i nevre get to see any important info.

All i saw was, "we got the old icon building" And march 15th.. So if i put two and two together.. does that mean that, theres a happy hardcore event at 104 FAnshaw street, on March 15th?

Cuz that would be wicked!.. ANd it would be sooo kool to go back to that place for a rave.. Especially a HH one! YEAH BABY

MmMMMMmmMMmMMMm Gotta lurve that Happy happy Harcore...

Woooohooo *dances around*
