Just watched a team of german engineers do a rebuild on two of these bad bwoys:
New injectors, rings, cylinder liners, rebuilt turbos, modified exhaust manifolds to new spec for better pressure spread, machined heads/valves, brand new engine management and alarm monitoring system featuring over 100 active senders etc.
Basic spec:
16 cylinder 72degree V EFI Diesels
190mm bore x 210mm stroke
8 sequential turbos
6 Water to air Intercoolers
1800rpm
4320kW
Acellerates a 600 tonne 200 foot yacht to 34mph in about 40 seconds.
Some big power tings....
if any one wants to see some detailed pics then post. (the turbos are about the size of a 15" sub.)
