There was once a time when NATO's task was simple: wait for Russian Shock Armies smash across the Fulda Gap, and try to stem the tens o thousands of tanks before they reached the english channel

It was honorable, glorious, and magnificent. NATO might well have written its deeds in flaming letters a hundred kilometres high.

Now they are reduced to arresting sick 70 year olds in "dawn raids"

Watching predeps at the moment on BBC. Gawd who'd be a judge? Need the patience of a saint with this guy. Typical bonehead. And ultimately he is removed from court. Predictable.
