Much love for the b ads. I like their stated policy that they absolutely will not play any ad not of their production - the closest they've got is revoicing existing campaigns, even then they sound funnier!

Unfortunately they have watered down that a little bit, they played a vodafone ad recently and an AK city council roadworks one - that was so fucking lame it was almost a piss take in itself though "gidday, Cory the road cone here, the good dudes at the AK city council.." Sickening!

I think he buggered off when he got ousted from breakfast. Then the ads went shit for a while, but the talent has been slowly brewing up again at bfm imo.

Its interesting to observe the two ads for the same client that are on b and George right now, the government trying to get students to apply for their loans for next year. Same scenario, almost similar script, just b's is subtly over the top and hilarious.


George could learn a lot from b, or just headhunt its creative team.

yeah, that hydroponic wardrobe ad a few years ago, I discovered it wasn't a bfm script when I ended up in the same room as a radio tuned to the rock. The difference was huge.

I was going to bump this thread this morning as well. The ads on B have gotten a lot better recently.. new creative team perhaps?

Meanwhile the ads on GeorgeFM (which is becoming more and more unbearable outside of the specialty shows) are some of the worst around. And whoever writes them seems to be fond of riping off slogans from mainstream campaigns (eg. "Everything you need and nothing you don't" for some random thing that wasn't Mizone).

george ads are indeed crap. im sick_ of hearing that (lovely im sure) chick they use constantly who pours on the sex kitten voice .. same bird who does the shampoo ad's on telly.
