Best job hunting site for OZ ???

Hey all

Just wondering how you got your job in oz?

Can Kiwis go there without having to have a work permit I have tried emailing people in oz and having no luck.

Any info would be great.

Also what area of oz are you in? Is it awesome??

Yes, NZ born citizen have automatic entry into Australia (not sure about migrants). You're a legal resident, but not a citizen so you can't vote (bummer! lol)

Got my job through recruitment agencies, as have almost everyone I know. Easy as, saves trolling papers and net sites, they call you with jobs akin to what you want. My girl and I both had full time jobs, and a flat, within a week of getting here! But that was pretty jammy really.

As for websites, seek.com.au is the biggest and gets pages and pages and pages of new jobs everyday!

Living in Melbourne, fucking loving it! Climate loads better than Wellington, but colder than Auckland in winter months. Hot in summer, but a dry heat generally, none of this 85% humidity muggy as fuck sweating through your undies while doing absolutely nothing crap! More parties than one can shake a stick at, cool gigs on almost every weekend for whatever sounds you're into really and 25000-30000 festivals spread across 7 or more stages in the summer. No conplaints, no regrets!

I already quit my job so quess Ill prob temp here for 2 months so I can get some coin then move and try find job when I get there.

I had a agency call me but she rather I call when I know Im going over then make time to have chat on phone and meet up.

Yeah, pretty much. It's chilly, but it's not too bad. I guess coming from Auckland it'd seem worse than if you're used to Wellington. Usually not very windy so the cold doesn't cut right through you. And it's not all muggy and yuck in summer. Anywhere from 24-42 degrees though...had one day up at 40 last year then a cold front came through and it dropped 15 degrees in about 45mins or something!

Such a beautiful and vibrant city! Love it to bits! Only visited Sydney once and didn't like it much...

Had a guy come into work yesterday who I spoke to for half an hour about moving to OZ<
He was from Melbourne also and said its great.

He said that the Gold Coast is a student sort of place but that they have big summerdayze gigs and fun stuff down there also.

Hirmmnnn maybe I need 4 months in each place!!!!!

Not be to the GC but would like to check it for a holiday at least.

Melbourne gets all those big parties too and the club scene is fucking top notch too!
