I doubt anyone would argue that Wasim and Waqar was by far the best bowling combination in the 1990's ... even by themselves they destroyed most teams.

and ya.....Waqars sandshoe crushers and Wasims stealthy menace were easily the most impressive_scary element in cricket from that era, as the previously brutal Windies were fading fast, and most other teams had only one fearsome spearhead each.....at best.

Back in those days I actually loved the Pakis...before they turned all bent an self destrutcive an shit they seemed to be pretty special. I hate to think thats its possible that it was actually just uninhibated ball tampering....

btw Waqar was described as having "a round arm action"..rather than actually being round arm. That sounds slightly wack but I think there is a distinction

WW was clearly one of the worlds most boring bowlers and his batting was Chris Martin-esk. Hell of a nice chap though

I personally rate Wasim over Waqar, I just think he had amazing control over the ball in all condiitons, and obviously his longevity and batting ability meant that he'd be an automatic pick.

If not them, then big Curtly for real.
