well, i've been travelling around the world for just over a month (covered aussie, malyasia and thailand in that time) and i never realised just how much new zealand really means to me.

I miss my friends and family and worry about everyone back home, miss the lush green-nis and cleanlyness of home etc.

BUT on the plus side this is my first trip overseas and am enjoying myself so much, meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and ways of life. Have been to some wicked parties, been catching up with friends no longer in NZ, just totally getting into travelling!

Anyone else feel this way, confliced and sometimes a bit guilty for feeling like that when you know this is a huge turning point in your life?

I soooo know what you mean!

I've only been in London for 2 weeks now and although I am having fun I miss being able to drive everywhere, the clean air, the hot guys hehe, the wide open spaces, the open plan houses, the millions of beautiful parks, the mountains, the rivers....the list goes on!

Its amazing the difference in living standards.

It's made me appreciate NZ so much more already.

Tee hee - actually the middle east is a pretty friendly place... No-one over there really seemed to like saddam too much and we got no anitpathy at all about being westerners. Of course, they don;t like the war, but then again apart from george bush, who really did?

When i got back to London there were armoured cars at Heathrow and warnings about possible gas attacks on the London Underground... THEN I FELT SCARED.

C u for creamfields anyhoo - of course you know that Yoji is playing in the hardhouse tent at creamfields, yeah?

I reckon the first 3 or 4 months are the hardest - especially once you settle down in one place and go about the normal daily grind.

Stick at it and try to meet the locals rather than just stick to the antipodean scenes and you'll get loads more out of it.

Does make you appreciate NZ though - I've been in London now 5 + 1/2 yrs

I must admit...London is kinda growing on me now. Only been here like 2 1/2 months but already I can imagine how upset I'd be if I had to leave. I still miss NZ heaps though. Dont think I will be back there to live for a very long time. Too much money to be made here! Froggy

Where do all the London biggies hang out?
