Beatstreet's going back to basics. A room, a soundsystem and a red light: from the early days taking over lofts, basements and the odd bunker - Matt Drake has been presenting the very forefront of modern dance music for over 17 years. This final Beatstreet will see Matt's last performance before jetting off to Berlin.

Matt Drake will drop a very special extended 4+hour set - from the dark sweaty hypnotism of acid house, through soul-binding high tech soul, booty-minimal and the sexy machine funk of jacking sci-fi house, Matt will be digging deep into the vaults for oldschool Detroit and Chicago gems all the way to latest cutting edge dancefloor dynamite of today and beyond.

an awesome finale by the Drake...he brought out all the techno classics... and as usual completely rarked us all up on the floor. Bit of a struggle for me to last the distance given the starting time but very glad I got out for this one.

A huge loss to the scene to see this man go. Who's gonna step up to the plate?

Mmm. Was very cool - I kept hoping he'd play something then it would get played - psychic dancefloor mind meld! Throw was probably the highlight because its the best song ever..
Great hearing Ame 'repeat again after me' mix too - good memories for all the people who made it down to see Dixon last year!

It was great and I am still now recovering.

best set I've ever witnessed in NZ hands down. I can't remember anything captivating me so thoroughly for the entire set since Hawtin in zurich.
