Last couple of years hasn't really had anyone BIG.
Would love to see someone big along the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Swedish House Mafia, Rolling Stones, Chase n Status, Nero.............

Even though I am far too old and its far too loud for me, if someone really awesome goes I will think about going again, just for the bits I want to see. I went just for Tool earlier this year.

saying that I like the little stages, more intimate and seeing as I only have one leg much more user friendly for those of us who don't want to use the handicapped areas by the main stages

They need to make it seriously gee whizz!! With a ton of huuuuge bands (like the old bdo days). Not just a couple of mildly large headliners from 10 years ago, and a bunch of hipster shit. Id pay the big price if it was worth it.

The music world and touring world are very very different beasts these days from the early days when the lineups seemed so much more solid - add in success = creep of conservatism/safe choices/aging of owners/directors/coronation street is moving FFS

Yep, I agree with the touring statement. Bands charging tons more now to recoup costs. But if they chucked on a great line up, they could increase costs, and most people would be happy to pay. I just don't wanna pay 150 or whatever it is for one big band and a bunch of crap.
..and no offense to local bands, but Im not paying that much to see you when I could pay 10 bucks to see you at the Kings Arms.

Would like them to move away from the tradional rock/indie bands and have more electronica. Sorta like the boiler room but also on the outside stages. Still seems to be 80% rock/indie overall.

The Chemical Brothers, U2 would also be SICK headliners.

thing is KGB BDO is a aussie festival... and there are tons of electronic/dance type festivals in aussie so there is no need to cater to that market there, most of the dancey acts they do have also appeal to a 'rock' crowd...

BDO said on their twitter feed that they would be announcing the THREE headliners at 10am - not sure if that is NZT or Aussie time.. I'd imagine they'd be piss if the herald and stuff are running the story before the official announcement?

I'd not go just so I could avoid having to hear Gin Wigmore.

Hrmmm Kanye West will be there...hes good...not enough hip hop acts for me to go along for Sad. I do like me some David Dallas but hes always around. Best BDO for me was The one with Chemical Bros and RHCP I think on at the same time so it was like arggghhh boiler room the running back to main stages. heh. running.
