Off to Barcelona in a couple of weeks, hoping I might be able to get some hints and tips.

This stuff seems to pop up all the time on the Nexus forum. We need a couple of sticky threads - run downs on European destinations, hints and tips and a shifting to the UK one.

razzmatazz... awesome club, bit out of the centre, but cab driver should know where to go... it's on a vauxhall advert too

razzmatazz for sure. 5 clubs in one.... hmmm normal stuff... go to the park at the top of the city. cant remember the name but well worth the hike. as strange as it seems the cemetery might be worth a look too. it sits on this cliff the the west of the main city and looks amazing from the motorway. well it did look amazing at 7am on one particular Sónar festival morning. Not sure why that would have been

whatever you do, don't eat at the real touristy restaurants on Las Ramblas. The food is shit and they charge you double for the privellege.

Back streets running off las ramblas are always good for nice tucked away bars.

Park Guell spike?

I'm going there in about 4 weeks.

Any recommendations for somewhere to stay?

Go to the crazy funky church La Sagrada Familia, you have to see it - I've never seen anything like it.

definitely La Sagrada Familia... and ANY if not ALL of Gaudi's architecture sites around the city. They are all incredible.

My favourite food in Barcelona has to be the Foodball store, run by Camper. Tasty tasty tasty.

not the cheapest accommodation in town, but i love the style, and how they have hammocks in all lounges so you can relax on a hot afternoon looking out across the city. http://www.camper.com/web/en/casacamper.asp
