Backup Software

Does anyone know of any good FREE backup software that does hard drive to hard drive backups, but that only does files and folders that have changed/worked on since the last backup.

Your help would be greatly appreciated

MS backup?
it comes with windows - tho im not sure if the client versions do partial backups.

Ah...this is what I'm wanting, however, is there something like it that does not compress the backup...just makes an "image" so that if I want to grab the old file I can just select it and drag it back and replace the screwed up current file?

erm i dont think it compresses the file it just stores it in a image file - same as ghost does - you can browse the image with msbackup and restore only the files you want.

Dont ever ever compress backups unless you can afford to loose it all.

Ghost 8.0 is good.. its not free and not incremental but it does however allow you to easily do partial restores.. (ie file by file)

PS I'm Bias

For backups i use bartpe bootdisk with ghost and networking on it (to backup to a network share. Its not always applicable to boot into another os to do a backup but i find it the easiest way.
