Baa-baas vs. Wallabies next year - VERY interesting

NRL defector Sonny Bill Williams is set to return to Australia in dramatic fashion by playing for the Barbarians against the Wallabies next year in the same week as league's showpiece event, State of Origin I.

Williams, Mark Gasnier and Craig Gower – all former NRL stars who now play club rugby in France – will be invited to play in the ground-breaking match at the Sydney Football Stadium on June 6 to kick off next year's international program. It will be the first time the Barbarians have played on Australian soil.

If SBW and Gas can click as rugby players, they'll make one hell of a pairing in the midfield.

Sure to be thoroughly out-noused by Mortlock, but they could have a significant physical advantage.

Not to underestimate Mortlock's strength, but SBW runs over everyone and Gas has the gas.

PFunk while you could say that about 99% of international midfield backs, Mortlock is a fucking physical beast. He'd easily be the strongest centre in the world and I don't see even an athlete like SBW having it over him physically.
