I think I picked it up before leaving India, and itàs been really effecting me for the last 3-4 weeks. The symptoms are bloating, gas & diahorea so it isnt very pretty. And it can last for anywhere between 2-6 weeks. If you are unlucky it can reaccur and keep effecting you for a few months.

Specific antibiotics from a doctor have an 80% chance of clearing it, so I guess I should go see a doctor soon, rather than just waiting to see if my body can get better by itself.

Moral: Dont drink local water in India ... I only did this occasionally, but it looks like you should never do this.

You poor thing!

My cat had that once... a side effect for her was her second eyelids remained half closed so she looked possessed.

Fuck, that´s a fair ammount to loose. I´ve dropped 5kg in about a month. I haven´t weighed 58kg since right after my car accident when I was hospitilised for 6 weeks in 2001

poor Itchy. :C get to a doctor straight away!

after a nasty stomach bug in Thailand I got really strict in some countries. no tap water, ice, street stall food or salad & using bottled water to brush my teeth!! but.... despite this I still managed to pick up yucky stomach bugs on separate trips to Morocco & Egypt. Rolling Eyes I can't win!!

I want to go to India one day but I can just imagine how I will end up! I will have to import a couple of crates of water and bread! Laughing

Yeah, I was sweet as doing that, but I think my downfall was drinking tap water in India
