Haha, Yes but everyones gota live somewhere, and yes the only real scene in Htown consists of uneducated drones that only enjoy music that's spoon feed to them by "common" media sources. But for people like myself that enjoy a bit of diversity it's disappointing when quality acts such as Aural Trash decide to follow the "common" theme and proliferate the Htown hate. Is paranoia getting the best of me or is this just the side effects of chlamydia and waikato draught? Ofcourse everyones gota have somewhere and someone to hate (human nature) and if Htown must be Aucklands Shelbyville so be it. But if all outside acts gives up on us diverse folk...

I'd say its more of the lack of a decent venue for something like this in Hamilton at the moment. Loft/Sekure is just not big enough. Catalyst isn't pulling the crowds at the moment. Liquid has just been sold and won't be playing house music anymore (its gonna be upmarked R&B apparently...sounds like an oxymoron to me) and Monkey Feather is currently dedicated to pleasing the trance chedderheads.

Where would you hold this in H-Town?

yeah but did they have a choice? Catalyst being the (once) obvious location, I can hardly imagine management there would've been falling over himself trying to hook this one up.
I don't think it's a matter of other places hating on the tron, rather the tron is doing a good job of creating haters amongst their own.

Heres the problems CONSTANTLY over looked....and FUCK ME!! the solutions aswell.

a)Media(or lack of) we are over run with radio stations from AKL Kfm, Twisted fm, George fm, Whats more our local stations dont support it!

**Apart from MAX fm which returns soon GOD BLESS MAX!

b) The target market in Hamilton which is students is overlooked, Constantly. look at how the Outback work the students.Exciting new fresh parties all the time in thier face's

**Max fm is part of Wintec. Wintec = students

c) Zines..event guides, Hamilton clubs are never in them and in turn clubs never reach thier neiche ravers.

** Waikato times have *FREE* events listings, so to does real groove.

d) Personal grievances, Egos and all round NEGATIVITY from people in the local scene makin politics, even tho on a small level, we are seeing the fruits of how fast bad word/news/vibes spreads.

** Recognise these fools and cut them out of your pie shop because they are taking not baking.

In short regarding AURAL TRASH,....heaps of people are still at the beach, and maybe they thought the fans would like to jump the kai mais for a swim and a dance. I know id like to That, and why do one in TGA and one in H probably a one or the other call, and TGA has a beach and its summer.

This is our Summer Tour so we decided to go to more summery destinations
..... hence Dunedin and Hamilton weren't included.

Plus everyone wants a Sat night and we ran out of available weekends!

Greg and Angela are huge supporters of Hamilton and always have been.
Angela will be playing in Hamilton in a couple of months so will keep you posted.
