Auckland vs. Taranaki.

Majestic. Majestic. What a performance. 22-6 tells but part of the story; 100-6 would have been more accurate. From 1-15, Auckland were rampant, smashing one up, going wide, varying the point and tempo of attack like some master conductor. Only desperate Taranaki tackling held them out; that, and a few dropped balls at inopportune times.

Lachie Munro, bar the goalkicking, is a player of rare talent. Taniela Moa proved why he is NZ's finest #9, dealing with good and bad ball alike with aplomb.

Auckland were VERY impressive, thier picking and going looked unstoppable at time... and Lachie really does look the goods at times, such vision!! To know where the man is, know how to get it to him and then execute the pass perfectly. very rare
