Well he's injured. Don't mean to detract from Steyn's obvious talent, but it's hardly fair!
On an unrelated note, I met Merve Hughes, Terry Alderman and Angus Fraser tonight. As part of a Q&A session with an Australian Ashes tour group, they were asked what one rule would they change to the laws of cricket...
Angus Fraser basically said that he thinks the game is full of chuckers because the law is too loose. It's not the 15 degree law either. I'm not able to provide exact detail (I was busy working unfortunately), but basically he was saying that the laws atm mean that once the bowler has reached shoulder height in the delivery action, anything goes- SO if your arm is still bent as it passes the shoulder and straightens, it doesn't really matter. Which is CRAZY.
His suggestion was that ALL bowlers must be at full flexion by shoulder height, and must remain that way, without exception. He said the two worst culprit was obviously Murali, but the reason they can't really call him up is just because of the wording of the law, and the fact that he doesn't technically straighten to full flexion from below the shoulder.
