Asian Markets K'Rd Car Towaway

Well I just experienced one of my worst comedowns. My car got towed from the asian market car-park just off K-Road. Make sure you don't park there because the lesson cost me $140. I've been parking there for over 3 years and finally they got me!

Damn thats pretty harsh, did u park in a proper spot or where u in a tow zone. U have to be quite careful down there, i have parked down there heaps too but luckily enough havent been towed yet.

Heaps of people park there and there are no signs indicating that the area is tow away.

There is ctually a sign saying it is a tow away zone. Saw it yesterday. It sayys even if your a customer (buyng food etc) you still can only park there for an hour

Dont think they start towing there till about 7-8am in the morn'n so you must have a good night!!!
Real bummer tho, especially when you dont know if its been towed or stolen.

We parked there at 12:30am and my car was gone at 5:00am. There is a 24 hour towaway notice. It's printed on an A4 piece of paper in the window.

I`ve seen them lifting cars down there in the small hours, too.

my mates got caught pissing down there.

Is it a private carpark (ie part of the shops)? If it is I don't think they need to have any signs telling you its a towaway area.

They alwauys tow people away from there aye... Smilygal learnt the hard way too.

You can park in the car park in upper Queen St until 8am for free.

last Saturday morning my car was the last one there, and it was lucky I went down to check on it, cos the towie had just arrived to take it away!

I have found a solution to the problem of having your vehicle towed. Drive something bigger than the tow truck then you can`t be towed away. The only problem is when you breakdown you wait nearly all day while they try to find a big enough tow truck.

i got towed from there one day, was trippin so i did'nt know what i was doin....$140 was a dent in my wallet....bloody horrible to deal with in the morning.....but there are tow away signs, most people seem to know they start towing in the morning, that's b4 they open so their customers have somewhere to park.....

The trick to make thge towies life harder is to park your car between two others. Leave the handbrake off, steering wheel on hard lock with a Club or something in place.
When the towie tries to tow ya car he'll see that he'll end up hitting the opther cars and give up.
