ooohh have i been there.. its quite a strange srt up, the prices are low because they dont have any showrooms, you just look through their cataluge and the grab what you want from storage (well after queing for about 2 hours, but hey welcome to britain.. )

I've just spent £350 at Argos in the last couple of weeks! I can't help myself....

My room (and my kitchen) looks like an argos catalogue!

I buy it off the net and get it delivered.....plus I've got an Argos card too....very dangerous.

I buy something from Argos at least once every couple of weeks.

I stay WELL away from storecard myself, pretty hard to do since they pretty much throw credit at you here..!!

I didnt want to have credit, but I needed a few things...

riiight....just like i needed all those dvds i bought on the weekend......

don't talk to me about dvds. Amazon.co.uk is EVIL... but has some nice cookware...

I think in a closely parrallel universe I must be a gay chef, as I get far too excited about cookware... and bed linen... and cushions... and furniture.... and Johnny Depp...

Yeah Argos is great for the basics. Some other good sites I've got stuff from are...

ebay.co.uk - always good - always dangerous. Got a really nice CD and MD stereo with some wicked speakers

thegumtree.com - a site for NZers, Aussies, and SA which classifieds for all sorts of thing including flats, and people wanting to sell things on the cheap they can't take back... Got a nice T.V. and DVD - and the guy threw in a dodgy car for free!

lastminute.com - just bought some cheap flights to Majorca - and also a birthday gift for my flatmate.

ticketweb.co.uk - lots of tickets cheap. It is SO much better to skip the line at clubs here.

argos is all good for convienience... if you don't give two shits about seeing it made up before you buy as you buy it off a piece of paper (you know what i mean)

I've found Ikea to be better for furniture etc. Argos is convenient but I'm a try before you buy person and hate buying from a catalogue. Also electronics are expensive at Argos. Go to a specialist store if you can

Ikea furniture falls apart apparently! I like the look of it better though.

my whole house was furnished with brand new Ikea stuff when I moved in - including my bed - and nothing has fallen apart quite yet. Almost though

I wouldnt buy Ikea furniture though, all the doors on the cupboards have warped! Ikea's good for lamps and the like though.

Anyway, Argos is very good for homeware/kitchenware stuff though.

I just bought a new king size bed from Argos.

It arrives tomorrow!

Another lady at work loooooves Pooh. She's been trying to find a duvet for months!
