Are there no decent single guys?

My ex flatmate and her mate are both cute, smart, outgoing girls ... but can't get a decent boyfriend ... and I can't work out why. I guess the ex flatmate gets a few drinks into her when she's out so maybe isn't viewed as girlfriend material?

Where do people meet randoms they want to date these days when they're out and about? Golden Dawn? Lime Bar?

What is a 'decent' guy? I'm single and consistently see women as clients who somehow get into a relationship with guys who are absolute dropkicks, physically and psychologically abusive control freaks. There are heaps of decent guys out there though, nz girls seem to just sometimes go for dropkicks. I think that at the moment, some men in nz may be unsure of their actual 'worth' or 'value' to some women, when a minority seem to ruin it for them, and women are ultimately confused about what they want - even if they do have a 20 point check list which they use to filter potential dates (via internet dating for example).

Because a minority of men ruin it for other men, some of the decent girls also have impenetrable defences up, and are not so comfortable in themselves to just be themselves and take things as they come.

There's a shitload of them in London, it's great.

Yeah, it just seems difficult for them to a find a guy who's nice, not a control feak, can deal with the wider circle of friends, and who has a job ...

And maybe a bar isn't the best place to be looking for this?
