More techno at an analog?
Matt Crucial definitely ripped it up at the last one and hopefully enlightened a few peeps who wouldn't know techno from Moussaka...

Analog is a gig without strict musical parameters see, and I'm trying to build a party that slowly but surely incites people to expect more from a dj set than what they're given at the majority of AK gigs (ie 'deep' house or hard-house / trance gigs) because I believe there are enough smart people out there who do love music, who simply haven't been exposed to the really good stuff - in the right sort of party context.

I'll be packin some good funky techno tunes in my bag for my November set at Analog, so if you like a little Trevor Rockcliffe, F-Com, Svek etc and a whole heap of detroit then come down and check it out.

And Snitch - you definately want to get Matt back - that dude's a local legend - I think it's a real shame he doesn't get the level of recognition or respect that he deserves!

Oh, and vote 11, but some other techno kids'd be good, too. My techno knowledge's really limited, but I do know Umek's Torture Chamber 2's on hi-rotate for me at the moment.
I like the idea of a set/night sliding towards techno - starting with a little house, then a whole load of tech-house, then smackin' us upside the head with some funky, tribal, slammin' techno.

well for the transition from house to tekno I suggest bringing in one of the highlights from my 1st Hardsoul..... Han!

Cool, Matt's definitely gonna play again but it won't be till next year at this stage. In any case me and phatstack will do our best to entertain the residents of this forum at the November analog along with Greg Churchill and Ben Wah. Greg's been informed that he's to play an ol' skool Box set so hopefully he'll come correct with a bit more challenging shit than what he'd play at a typical Velvet say...
