anyne here in the UK who .... works in the print / graphic design / web design / etc field ?

If so - whats the job market like at present? and pay?

Also what's the cost / standard of living like at present?

I lived in london for a few years 95-98, so just wondering where costs are at at present incase i feel like going back.

And finally - whats the buzz like in England at present? London tends to go up and down like a yoyo IMHO - so does it feel progressive? or is everyone just passing time?

I dont work in those fields but I have friends that do. The pay really isnt all that good and its kinda hard to find work. A few years ago the jobs were plentiful and paid REALLY well. However, the market was saturated so now there aren't enough jobs to go round and the pay is kinda low (maybe £300 a week after tax).

Cost of living:

Rent: Between £300 and £600 for a double room.
Groceries: £20 a week? Well thats what I live on.
Tube Pass: Zone 1-3 is £23.80 a week.

Not sure if thats changed much since you were here last.

As for the buzz...I love it!! Always stuff to do and meeting heaps of wicked like minded people. Never a dull moment.

dont forget the best nightlife in the world..
