Any Mac owners here, ever used...

Boot Camp (or something similar) to load windows?

If so, has anyone ever had any problems with it?

My Mac i recently bought came with it loaded on.. i'm thinking of using it so i can play Assassins Creed 2.

(disclaimer- I haven't used it personally)

but as it runs windows completely natively on intel macs, I don't see why there would be any issues, you're literally just booting up a different operating system, so theres no virtualization trickey that would mess it up.

Plenty of time to do thinking about it. Assassin's Creed 2 isn't out on the PC until March ...was meant to be November, but it got pushed back.

Be prepared for it to suck at times performance wise. Apple are pretty useless at Windows drivers.

Also, the HD 4670 GPU in the iMac isn't _that_ great compared to what most PC gamers run in a modern rig.

OK I've had a lot of experience with this in recent weeks as my flatmate has bootcamped his Mac with Win 7 64.

There's a few driver issues at the moment. Basically it runs sweet but for the bluetooth drivers have a tendency to BSOD windows. My flattie has a bluetooth keyboard and mouse so we ran into this quite a bit. Apple say they are updating the drivers by the end of the year to make it a bit more stable.

Otherwise 7 runs pretty sweet on it!

I run XP and Win7 through VMWare Fusion.

None, it works fine... but I don't play any games on it, so can't comment on that.

Myself and Andrew use bootcamp to load Windows onto our MAC's. Very easy with no issues what so ever, runnign Vista however and will prob try and get W7 onto the lappy ones I get Leopard loaded.
