Andrea Biani = No. 1 Shoe Warehouse

Right, so I go out shoe shopping with the woman I have familiar relations with and in our travels we made an expedition through Andrea Biani on Queen St.

Now, let me just explain that the lady has an aversion to Number Shoe Warehouse on the grounds that their shoes come from sweat-shops and child labour. Good conviction IMO.

Anyway, while in Andrea Biani, she noticed several pairs of boots and shoes that come from the N1SW. I then noticed that a pair of shoes she had purchased some time ago from Biani were a brand that holds a large share of the stock at N1SW.

Not cool


Oh, and for those that dont really give a shit about human rights, at least know Biani are selling you shoes from the No.1 Shoe Warehouse at 5 or 6 times the price

We just made all the new no 1 shoe warehouse tvc's today, infact just prior to logging on here - i emailed some MPEGS of those commercials to one of the exec's at No 1 Shoe Warehouse.

Yeah its funny how just because a shop has high prices and a "fashionable" rep it means that their product is produced in a more human rights friendly way...
Personally i think andrea biani and overland are WAY overpriced for what they are... overland especially.
I get my shoes overseas generally as shoe shopping in NZ is SHIT.
Not saying anything about human rights but if you are going by that logic than get a pair of those "no sweat" shoes from traid aid- the ones that look like converse chucks.

i worked part time for andrea biani for a very brief time when i started Uni

overpriced garbage, would never ever shop there EVER

further to that, IF you are going to shop AB i suggest to go to their outlet store in Dressmart first as they will more often than not have the same shoes there as in their retail outlets but at a discounted price

i much prefer scarpa with their new range of fcuk shoes they have in and there is more to look forward to with the upcoming new season stock arriving shortly apparently

it used to be so LOL because in some instances you can walk into AB and request that they transfer the shoes that you want, at the expense of the store, to Dressmart just so that you can go and buy them there at the outlet price

In a way i think overland are even worse- all their boots (which in most cases are really shit) are sooo overpriced. Like $399 for something that is probably $20 euros in spain where they are made.

the boots that you can get from overland in NZ for close to $400 you can pick up for only $180 in Sydney

I bought a pair of shoes from No1SW for $35...Overland were selling the same pair on sale for $80!!! Original price was $120, and they were just crappy black velcro trainers. Ridiculous.

Andrea Biani have the hottest styles in Auckland. They're super-cool jeffrey cambell range are competetively priced (internationally) and certainly not the sort of rubbish one would find at the No 1 Shoe Warehouse.

Those who shop at the warehouse or number one are far more likely to be supporting child labour. They get the cheapest prices by screwing their suppliers down to the very last penny... mostly in places like cambodia and vietnam because the truth is even China is getting to expensive for that type of retailer. Chinese wages and standard of living are going up fast, certainly faster than ours. Thats called economic success and good on them for their achievments.
