A good friend of mine left for LA on Sunday for about a week before he heads to Camp America in Connecticut.

Just got a call from him and he's having an absolute blast!! I'm so jealous and as I've strated saving for my OE, it's made me just about jumping outta my skin to get there but it will be at least a year of hard work before I'm able to go!!!

You will have no problem finding friends - if you're going by yourself, however you choose to travel remember you're not alone, everyone on the same flight/bus/train is there and you'll find friends in other solo travellers. Also staying in hostiles etc is where you meet the same kinds of people as yourself and will no doubt make loads of awesome friends and travelling buddies!!!

May travel there one day.

yeah i missed out on doing the hostel thing in the UK, and apparently they dont have what we would class as hostels in the states so much, i made damn sure i paid quite a bit for decent insurance tho, im petrified of getting shot seeing as i know im gonna be in more ghetto places than beachhaven, imagine if i wore a biggie beanie and some gang thought i deserved to be shot!

Cold dreary weather?? Nah ah!

Its rained twice in the 5 weeks that Ive been in London. The weather has been blue skies and bloody hot! Its been getting close to 30 degrees quite often. Sure winter is bound to be crap but summer here has been mint so far.

Well it's in the 90s at the mo on the East coast in the USA. Is all I can say.

Oh, and don't call it America, it's incredibly arrogant to do that. America contains all the countries in the North and South continents and it fucks me off when people from the US call it that, like the rest of this giant island doesn't count.
