Okay, so i'm a little new to this "job hunting" thing, and have been looking today at some job websites in the hope of finding something a little (a lot) more interesting than the one i'm in now.
The only problem I'm having is finding a site where the jobs are realistic for my level of employment. I was also thinking of switching roles into something a bit more challenging, like sales, but I would need an entry level position to start with, but most of these websites seem to cater for quite a bit higher than entry level.

So has anyone got any tips or websites I can check out? Things I should be looking for etc?

Well I have just this minute gotten off the phone from a recruitment agency and I'm starting work tomorrow.

It took them 3 days to find me a job, and took all the hard work out of it for me.

Have you thought about doing that?

I have pony. they just put me off with the range of jobs they advertised, ie. quite high up postiions. Also finding a quality agency that deals with jobs I actually have experence in is quite hard I'm finding.

But saying that, I applied for a few jobs on Thegumtree last night. I'm just going to be a little more picky when choosing a job this time, as this time I'm not so desperate Wink

Spike - I went through Parker Bridge, they were absolutely fantastic, I can't rave about them enough. They also have offices in Australia and NZ.

Not sure if they specialise in certain fields, I think they might, but I had applied for a job over the gumtree which they were advertising, completely blew my own trumpet in a cover letter, and they gave me a call the next day saying they wanted to see me and find a job for me. I didn't get the one I applied for, but the one I got is pretty sweet!!

But, no internet access during the day Sad

Spike - try www.totaljobs.com

But when you're looking at it, remember to look as much as the names of the agencies trying to fill the roles as you are the actual roles themselves, as the agencies probably have other jobs that they never advertise on the website because they fill them with people who are already on their books

The best website ever is...

www.gojobsite.co.uk

All the agencies (there are trillions of them) use this site to post up jobs. There are thousands on here.
