Have you talked to the police yet?
If they freeze the assets of the company and any money received or tickets sold will be unavailable to the organisers then can the event still go ahead?
Will all the suppliers still be supportive if that happens?
Are you still selling tickets or are you going to postpone them until a final decision is made (which would have to be after the police intentions are known to you)?
Okay sorry jah, I really should have answered this more fully.
The legal matter involving the directors is now irrelevant, we have a new backer for AU, the sponsors/acts/crew have re pledged their support, AU will be happening exactly as planed period.
There is no 'brave face' being put on as some have speculated, it is 100% certain that AU will happen.
The new crew behind AU are having extensive meetings this weekend, and there should be another more comprehensive announcement once they have formulated their game plan.
They are fully capable of putting AU on, as they are the crew who put it on in the first place, remember there are only 8 people in question here out of the over 200 people involved in AU.
Just give us a couple days to absorb what has happened and get all our shit together, I know this is frustrating for a lot of people, but none more than ourselves.
As far as ticket sales go, my understanding is that they will be back on sale asap, once all the info has been passed onto the shops around the country.
We apologise for the confusion, and I hope this clears it up a little for you.
Please, think what you want, but the speculation must stop now, this is becoming a little tiresome for myself and ferksta, having to squash all this.
