Well the All Blacks have just won against Ireland 15-6. Not a very convincing performance by NZ to say the least. The intensity just wasn't there and they are going to have to get a few things sorted before future matches.

Your thoughts on the game............
[quote]
It was dead boring and quite awful to watch really. Lack of basic fundamentals from the best players in the Super 12.
I think John Mitchell is too full of himself.
[quote]
Not really Pfunk i thought i was quite a good game the irish really stuck it up the wanky all blacks.

id say there should be a heck of a lota changes and why the fuck was Tana taken off?

good stuff Ireland and isnt Keith Wood one of the best hookers of all time id rate him quite a lot higher than fitzy mainly cause he isnt full of him self.

go the men in green reminded of the old tests matchs that i use to go to when i was kid, nice in close and very scrappy.

last weeks game was boring
[quote]
You didn't find the incredibly high error rate from the all black's to be incredibly painful to watch?
And do you really think Keith Wood isn't full of himself????
[quote]
rugby schmugby. what a fuckin yawn it was. total arse. i mean ireland for god sake. next we'll struggling against chile or someone equally as awful. truly thay are a bunch of c**ts who are now only in it for the money. where's the love? where's the passion? where's the fuckin skill?
lets make football our national sport and stop messing around with this wanker's game
[quote]
Ireland for gods sake?

i think everybody needs to get there head out of the clouds ? the Ab's arnt good fullstop.

Ireland are a team that is gettting better and better.

and the all blacks error rate? i dont really care when im supporting the other team pfunk, im not really intrested in supporting a team that is made of canturbury players that are no good to start with.

as my comment about Lomu? if he hadnt have been brought on they wouldnt have got that break that lead to that try now would they?

always takes a counties boy to sort the team out.

is what the back line should be reading , and as for the forwards? maybe they should borrow them from the New Zealand maori Team because they had aussie on the back foot all nite long. and as for Norm Maxwell i think the game has gone to his head after that stupid childish performance in the Haka... good to see Keith Wood took it to him later on in the game and ran right of the top of him.
[quote]
felt sorry for the irish..should have won it
played alot beta than the blacks...
all blacks just live thru there reputation, dont deserve to b anywhere near the top anymore

NZ maori were unlucky..just bring all of them in next time

and keith wood is the man.!
[quote]
The All Blacks played appallingly, and won........
How can you say they're not anywhere near the top then???
[quote]
when was the last time they won world cup?
wot did they win last year?
[quote]
Top 4 at the last world cup, a very close 2nd at the one before. Very close to the best teams in the world last year. What exactly do you class as "near the top"?
[quote]
I didn't interpret Maxwell's actions as childish in the haka. I took it to mean that he was deadly serious. He was looking at someone in particular, I don't know who.

This tall poppy syndrome towards the All Blacks is new to me. I have been away from NZ for a while, but I don't remember this fucked attitude.

And if the Irish "had played better" than the All Blacks then it would have been reflected in the score. I think the Irish played extremely well and all respect to them. We were bloody lucky to beat them.

I'm not sure why the AB's made so many errors, particularly when they have played as a team for the whole Super 12 (practically). But I am sure as hell not going to jump on the bandwagon and pick them to bits because of it. Fark.
[quote]
have a look at who was in the team then Pfunk and then it might you might see why they won hmm?

[quote]
What are you on about, Forest?
[quote]
The all blacks didn't win, ireland lost,
sad effort
[quote]
That performance was a shocker. Am I wrong in expecting an all black side to be able to spin the ball along the backline successfully most of the time. Taking a top team and plonking them in the all blacks is not good enough. Ralph and Robertson are not the best in their positions. Who would you rather have trying to beat the last man and score a try, lomu, reihana, randall or caleb ralph. The canterbury forwards were not that dominant in the super 12 that the whole pack should be from there. Jerry collins is our best number 8. Just because these guys play in lesser teams doesn't mean they're not as good.

If thing's don't change we will get dicked by aussie. Mitchell has not got shown he is the man for the job at all so far and he had better turn it around soon.
[quote]
well im not jumping on any bandwagon at all, i have always supported the irish rugby team for a long time, as for many others things like soccer.

his childish taunts where made out to Keith Wood during the haka, who later on in the game ran straight of the top of him anyway. i cant belive the rubbish in the paper down here before hand about " oh we are going to do something speical tonight" All Blacks by 25+ points". Seems to me that most ppl that made these comments in the paper missed the game last year in Ireland where they nearly beat us then. Once again Lomu was brought on and saved the day with some great Runs and two trys i belive?

i really dont understand why he dosnt go and play league because he is so under used when he is brought on for the last 20mins.

he may not score all the tries but he sucks in so many defenders and creates fear in the other team, hence setting up other ppl for a tries...
[quote]
The irish are itching to beat the All Blacks and they will as soon as they get a decent kicker for the conversion and penalty kicks they missed. You can support a team without disrespecting the other team. I support the All Blacks and I rate the irish team very highly. I also like the irish as a nation of people and will be happy for them when they do beat the All Blacks because I know they have wanted it for so long.

If Wood ran straight over the top of Maxwell anyway, so what. It would be pretty boring if they didn't try to psyche each other out. If I had a scarey looking fucker like Wood staring at me I would be trying my best to look tuff too.

I wouldn't even want to meet him in a LIGHT alley.
[quote]
In a light alley ? wtf? :-p he aint a thug he is a hard nosed rugby player that dosnt take any shit from players like norm maxwell who by the looks of things has turned soft since he shifted to canturbury.

I dont think Ireland will beat the All Blacks this week because the team should be very differnt to one that played the weekend past.

And dont worry about the Kicker my best bet is Ronan O'Gara wont be starting this match.
[quote]
maxwell aint the full quid..look at those eyes!
when was the last time they won world cup?
wot did they win last year?
[quote]
I have to ask WHAT THE FUCK was Marshall doing with the ball all night? It looked to me like he had actually _practised_ throwing wobbly, floating passes before the game. Everytime I've seen the AB's go (or nearly go) down, it's been Marshall not moving the ball. He holds on to the ball too long, and the passes are sloppy and slow.

I think we spent too much of the Ireland game trying to put together set moves, and not enough time playing good solid rugby, letting the ball move quickly out to the wings.
[quote]
he he he

welcome to the obscurity a 3.5 million population base affords us, now that more than 15 countries actually play the stupid game at more than a schoolboy level.

ha ha ha, boo hoo hoo

thank god for the rugby channel playing all those 'glory days' of the past or i think there would be a rash of rugby depressed suicides throughout the country.
[quote]
14 Crusaders plus Jonah is the lineup for the next test. No changes to a forward pack who got slaughtered. The best wing in the country, Howlett, on the bench. As for Reuben Thorne as captain, don't get me started...
[quote]
Great - your team plays badly so you take out 2 players who should be in there and leave in some who should have been replaced. Ralph is in no way better than Howlett or Lomu. Umaga should still be in there although I rate robinson highly. Why bother having an all black coach if he just picks all his players from the crusaders. Just give their coach the job, at least he knows the players better. Bye bye world cup next year.
[quote]
doug howlett isnt the best wing in country cause hence why he is on the bench...

well whats the irish team ?

cause the ab's are going down this time.
[quote]
Farking gr8 game ! ! About time ! !

& there's more to come
[quote]
Forest, John Mitchell's selections aren't the rugby oracle.
[quote]
Doug Howlett is the best wing in the country and has consistently shown himself to be a big game player which is what you need in a test.
Also, he's on the bench not because of form but because they want to see Lomu play a full test. I think everyone outside of canterbury and John Mitchell think it should be Ralph on the bench.
And, Umaga and Cullen were dropped for fitness reasons.
[quote]
just what they needed.......
[quote]
doug howlett consisent? like that great game
he had 3 tests ago in argentina?
[quote]
Forest, I didn't say Wood was a thug. I said he looked scarey, that's all.

In a kinda cute Uncle Fester-ish way tho I must admit.

I think he's an amazing player. I was just saying I can understand why Maxwell was trying to psyche him out before they even started. Maxwell must have been shitting himself.
