Ladies and gentlemen, its been a long time coming but finally we are ready to announce the official return of Global Panic and the Fragile 1st Birthday celebrations with what will no doubt be one of the hard trance parties of the year with the premier of UK Hard Trance DJ/Producer/Label Manager 'Phil York' (Tranzlation/HTUK/Hardtimez/Nuklearpuppy/Distinkt/Bootech) to NZ Shores for the first time.

But why you ask, would we be also announcing this in the SDB? Well as its our 1st birthday celebrations after a massive year of 7 Fragile parties spanning 4x cities, 3x internationals and 2x countries. We've decided to dedicate a room at our party to give YOU the chance to enjoy the magic at the same time the R18's do.

Phil York will be playing an exclusive additional live set in the all-ages room alongside Fragile residents Justin Sane & Taz, remaining slots on the night will comprise of house, trance and hardcore with some of NZ's hottest all-ages and R18 talent. This is a very rare chance for the all-ages crowd to not only experience a massive birthday celebration, but also experience a premier UK hard trance international act...

Flyers will be out shortly and full details will be published in the noticeboard over the next week, be sure to mark in your calenders - Friday 9th December 2005!

So Just Who Is Phil York?

Resident and co-promoter of Scotland’s most popular hard dance night Nuklearpuppy and can boast previous awards such as ‘Best Scottish Club 2004” (Mixmag) and ‘Best Small Club in Britain’ (the Hard Dance Awards). Owner of no fewer than SIX of the UK hard dance scene’s leading labels : Hardtimez, Nuklearpuppy, Distinkt, Tranzlation, HTUK and Bootek with current hard dance prodigies such as Chris Hoff, MDA & Spherical and Alf Bamford (aka Technikal) on production duties throughout all labels. Air play and support for all of Phil’s releases comes from everyone from Lisa Lashes to Anne Savage, from Eddie Halliwell to the Tidy Boys, from Lee Haslam to Rob Tissera. Even the late, great John Peel!

Phil’s 2005 gig diary can be said to boast the likes of Coloursfest, Wildchild, Parlez Vous?, Tall Trees, U4RIA, the Tidy Weekender, Nuklear Puppy, Addiction, Avin’ It and many, many more. Couple this with Phil’s international dates at the likes of : Nuklearpuppy (Ibiza), Extreme Euphoria vs Tidy (Ibiza), Energise 2 (Canada) – and a 2 week tour of Australia / New Zealand in December to come as well as an appearance at Rush in Finland.

Who Are Fragile?

Run by two of New Zealands leading hard dance DJs Justin Sane & Taz who premiered the likes of Guyver and Paul Maddox with the Tidy Trax NZ events as well as Technikal, ReBirth and Carl Nicholson with Fragile and Global Panic brands to NZ Shores for the first time, not forgetting having been behind other such local brands such as Nitro (Est. 2002) which raised over $4100 for the Angelcare Charitable Trust. In their first year, 8 x Fragile parties have already rippled across NZ in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch as well as internationally in Brisbane (Australia) with Fuze Promotions (http://www.fuze.net.au).

Fragile focuses on bringing you, the clubber, the most upfront and euphoric hard dance in NZ with the hottest and most colourful hard dance DJs/performers. Fragile celebrate their first birthday this coming December 9th @ Kiss and Bacios, don't miss out!

Whats Planned for the first Birthday?

We felt it important that everyone experience Phil York in an intimate comfortable environment whilst also importantly keeping ticket price to a minimum so its affordable for all, so where better to hold such an event than at Kiss & Bacios (309 K'road) which regularly hosts internationals such as Steve Hill, Technikal and Yoji Biomehanika as well as feature all-ages events such as Urban and Spectrum.

We also believe its more important that the music do the talking above having a large venue, so we've spent our budget bringing you some of the best established local talent NZ has to offer - after all, your there for the music right? As always, Additional Laser Lighting will be brought in set to blow you away, Live Visuals from Mohawk Media (http://www.mohawkmedia.co.nz/vj.htm) - as featured previously at Oxygen, DV8 and of course Fragile. And finally as with all of our events, performers ready to entertain you alongside the music (back in June we had a special visit from Spongebob).

Global Panic means meeting new friends from across Auckland & New Zealand, with the added bonus of both R18 and all-ages rooms moving the party to the next level and experiencing the same internationals on the same night. It means raising the temperature even higher over 8 scorching hours! Interested?

Who are the locals playing on the night?

We've hand-picked many of NZ's finest locals to appear on the night, established names of which most of you will already recognise and those of whom play regularly on many of the Biggest parties held in this country. Firstly our resident crew; Justin Sane & Taz (Slinky/Chemistry/Summerdayz) now signed to the UK's HWC Recordings, our long-standing Brit stop-over Mattboy Slim (Global Panic/UPFM/Monkeyfeather) and lastly the gorgeous and multi-talented Hoover Kitty (Zebedee/Fevah/Nitro). Finally to complete the R18 zone, we picked one of NZ's most popular hard dance DJs and one half of production duo High Dosage from Fired Up Records in the UK - Mr Terry Wizz (Zebedee/Godskitchen/Resolution).

Also appearing in the All-Ages zone we have the delightful funky house talents of Lil Miss Harri (YBR/Ignition), the epic and euphoric trance sounds of grandmaster CJ (Kiss/Chemistry/Gatecrasher), Crisis & Disorder (Nitrate/Fragile/Pulsar FM) our two Christchurch Nitrate all-ages favourites flying up specially for the night, and lastly all-age hardcore favourite and Urban pimp master Kam (Spectrum/Planet Hardcore/Innovators) also signed with UK label - Prophecy Recordings.

So there you have it, a stellar line-up in both rooms fit to support a big international hard trance DJ/Producer, and just enough information to wet the whistle and give you guys a small insight into this fantastic night!

............ more info coming soon Wink

So just whats it like attending a party run by our promoters?

We've managed to dig out a 25 minute video (200mb) from one of our Tidy NZ events back in 2003 from the first time Guyver came to New Zealand. The guyvermentary follows Guyver from his arrival, visiting the record stores and the radio stations and highlights from the event - including our performers and lighting.

http://www.hardhouse2.orcon.net.nz/videos/Tidy%20NZ%20-%20Guvyer%20VCD.mpg

It also features many faces of local clubbers/djs and promoters, if you went to this event back in 2003 theres a good chance perhaps you were photographed or videoed here... it also gives you a great idea of just what our party this coming December will be about as we've always strived to better ourselves each event.

Be sure to check out the lighting from 6mins 30 into the video, it still has the "wow" factor even today! Shocked
