The new breed of soul and funk influenced Drum n Bass production is being spearheaded by two exciting producer DJ's.. ALIX PEREZ and LYNX. These artists have been singled out as names to carry on the legacy of artists like Calibre and Marcus Intalex, bringing deep musicality to the forefront in Drum and Bass.
Alix Perez is one of the freshest young producers and one of the biggest up-and-coming DJs in the drum and bass scene. His smooth yet sophisticated selection has gained him a reputation for injecting soul back into the scene. With tunes such as 'Down The Line', 'Solitary Native', 'Crooklyn', and 'Refusal', and releases on some of the most respected labels including Shogun Audio, Soul:R, Innerground, Liquid V, Creative Source, Bassbin and Horizons, he has firmly established himself amongst the vanguard of drum and bass.
Alix started to DJ at the age of 14 and progressed into production at 17, collaborating with other hotly-tipped artists Jenna G, Redeyes, Sabre and Specific. Brought up on funk, soul, jazz and hip-hop his influences include artists such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Calibre, Marcus Intalex, and D-Bridge. Originally from Belgium, Alix now resides in North London and has residencies at legendary nights Swerve, and Movement.

Drum and bass has been waiting for a long time for a producer who could combine musical diversity with crowd pleasing success, and Lynx has been worth the wait. Lynx's unique sound draws from influences as diverse as funk, rock, soul, jazz, and world music and is instantly recognisable. Portsmouth-born Lynx has exploded on to the scene over the past 18-months garnering a huge following with tunes such as 'Mariachi', 'B Box Roller', 'Global Enemies', and his smash hit 'Disco Dodo', that have been destroying dance floors around the world.
Lynx has releases on labels including 31 Records, Creative Source, Bingo Beats, and Digital Soundboy, and has caught the eye of respected scene heavyweight and Soul:R label owner Marcus Intalex joining the Soul:R camp as an official artist. This has seen him DJ at Soul:ution label nights alongside legends such as Calibre, ST Files, and Marcus Intalex himself. His debut album will be released on Soul:R later this year.
