New Years eve

John Larner & Slater Hogan- Indianapolis, USA
Muzique Boutique, Herbal Essence, Aroma, Positiva, .Dotbleep, HUHU Music

With well over 100 releases between the two of them, John Larner and Slater Hogan have been making beats that have rocked dance floors across the globe. Their ability to not get stuck in one genre has allowed their tracks to find the record boxes of respected DJ’s such as Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine, Derrick Carter, Yousef, Mark Farina, and DJ Sneak to name a few. Considered by many as two of the more diverse and inventive house DJ’s, Slater and John along with partner Shawn Collins, own and operate two of the most respected record labels in the game: Muzique Boutique and Herbal Essence. Previous releases from these two stables include anthems such as “Space Cadillac”, “Chacaron”, and “Bonde Fumagante”. So grab a drink, lace up your dancin’ shoes and get ready for a night of toe-tappin’, booty slappin’ madness on the dance floor, hand picked for lovers of upfront, underground house music

200 $15 early bird tickets at DMC records (61 High St) $20 presales after and more on the door

I'm gonna keep track of this as I have a theory that Auckland nightlife is picking up again (which only holds if my other theory that it's been rubbish for a while has any merit)

Mark Fagina, Giom, James Turd, Mike Monday, Slapper Hogan & John Larner, Derrick Llewellyn Carter, Miles Maeda, Kylie, etcc...would be good to see what the turnout has been/will be.

Only evidence I have for the coming good times is a great Friday night at Khuja lounge last week with some killa funk'n'soul ensemble that rocked the full house. Can't remember their name but their horn section and singer blew the roof off that sucker.
