[quote]
nah, they won't get shit
[quote]
Ah Z_Blaze it actually looks like the people were Canadian btw.

Pretty ridiculous I guess - suckful for the cat it gets lost/killed and its the owners suing to egt some $$$!

It's a little cliche but 'only in America'...

Doesn't normal 'baggage' need travel insurance?

Then why not the cat?

Canadians / americans , same thing to me Smile
[quote]
Grrr - they if they were Canadian... then it's not the americans

Canadian courts are pretty down to earth being part of the Commonwealth and all, actually NZ looks to them for quite a bit of our law so I doubt they will get $5 million... America and Canada are EXTREMLEy different... about the same as China and Russia (ok so I could be exaggerating a little here)

someone probably flushed the cat down the toilet over Montana Wink

not being sad, but I would trade my cat for 2 milliion dollars!
[quote]
You'd have to be either really rich or really stupid to not trade your cat for 2 million. I have a nice cat, any offers (hope GG doesn't see this).

What pric do you place on life though? Especially when most pets are considered part of the family.
[quote]
$2million should just about cover it...

why, just the other day I signed my partner's life away on the dotted line for a cosy payout... now all that has to happen is a mishaps on the balcony.. hehehe... ;P

Besides the cat is just lost... it probably ended up in Taiwan or something... They'll just redirect it eventually... Im guessing, though, that this family is more interested in the money then finding the cat
[quote]
Yeah jono - I would be totally devastated if this happened to me, my cat is very much one of my family members.

I like it how our first reaction to something that americans do is to just write the people off as just "stupid bloody americans"...

Anyway, look at it this way: Airlines will be more careful with your pet in the future.
