AB's what's up with the gripper tops ?

jeepers I thought the warriors had tight tops, but the All Black back line takes the cake.

to the point that they looked stupid. looked like they were heading to a rave or something

Nonu had his ripped & it took him five minutes to put another top on it was so tight.

Yeah they look terrible and ghey. Apparently it must make it hard to tackle the abs but the same goes for making it tough to get a good grip of each others jerseys in scrums and rucks and mauls.

The forwards have looser jerseys for that very reason.

It makes sense though doesn't it? Much harder to tackly something that is skin tight rather than a peice of loose cotton... Atleast they haven't gotten to the point where cheating blatant cheating is the norm like american football... Spray on canola oil is usually a favorite to use on your tops as it make them nearly impossible to get a hold of.

Funny thing was, on a couple of occaisions I saw English players grab hold of an All Black player by the shirt and drag them to the ground. Its just all marketing bollocks from Adidas to keep their name in the spotlight to justify their investment in the team. So we have to put up with the commentators crapping on about the shirts all the time.

yeah I'm all for tight jersery's but some of those AB's tops were just too tight, to the point they must have been struggling to breath.

P.S the English didn't seem to have to much trouble tackling the AB's

good point, everytime they try to do something flash with the jerseys they seem to lose. remember that sticky shit they had on them which was meant to make it easier to hold the ball.

who needs Adidas ? bring back the old school CCC tops with Steinlager as the main sponsor !!! a la ,1996-97

Adidas are good at coming up with ghey things like that yellow lemon of a ball. Personally I would prefer to play in a traditional style jersey. Are easier to grip on and better for forward play, grabbing a hold of your mates jersey when you hit rucks. Does anyone know if the material is slippery?

Well, it didn't take too long for a couple of the backs to ditch the tight shirts this evening.

Carter's, Rokocoko's and Devine's shirts all got ripped. Apparently they've been sent back to Germany for inspection...

Inspection? Its pretty damn obvious that their fancy new material isn't strong enough. I will reiterate my belief that their silly shirts are mostly about marketing.

It seems the Adidas shirts are as good as the Adidas ball used previously.

Where's Adidas based again??? Germany??? Now that's a world power in rugby isn't it...

Adidas are obviously doing their best to make the All Blacks the laughing stock of the rugby world.
