This is one thing that I think Auckland has been in need of for some time.

Forget the stadium.
Auckland needs to learn to walk before it can learn to run.

Putting it beside the britomart is a good idea, it will mean public transport will get a boost from any events.

yeah bout time! i'm keen to see a top international concert from the comfort of a modern, indoor arena seat.

imagine the dance parties inside that baby! Something to rival the St. James, bring it!

I'm just interested as to what kind of cost over runs we'll have on it. Perhaps like the old Britomart it will increase in price drastically. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up costing 100 million plus but it looks pretty cool.

will be awesome for basketball...

it will be a beauty, great location which makes it central for everyone, no hassles in parking or anything.

i heard bout this last year, it will be good now cos we will get heaps more wicked concerts come this way

yes, im looking forward to seeing this happen! theres been talk about it for a long time, and to see something really start to happen is great for Auckland imo

is there any more detailed plans anywhere? or is that just a draft concept in that photo?
