Au revoir Michelin.

Ha ha, yeah... I read an interview with the head of Bridgestone where he was asked (approx) "how will you know if you're successful this season?"

He said they will consider it a success if all of the teams are performing well and are happy with the service they have..

Uuuum. McFly!! What choice do they have otherwise?

Bridgestone will run as usual, doing nothing until another tire manufacturer is allowed back into F1.

Woohoo!

Hopefully we will at least have slicks for '08 though.

Pedro has been talking down Macca's chances this year, and constanlty saying he shall do everything he can to help Nando win the championship, funny how he never says he will help Hamilton! Rolling Eyes

Pedro has been their main tester for ages - he know's what to do. Hamilton will be used this year as testing donkey for tyre set-ups and I think they'll even use some races as testing grounds for real-life tests - all in aid of the team. Having Alonso win the WDC this year would mean tons for McLaren. Firstly that they can hack it (and maybe Kimi wasn't as good as he seemed, even if only feedback/set-up wise), and secondly that Alonso is the talent who can leave a winning team - ballsy move - and win at the next team. Schumy couldn't even do that when he went from Benneton to Ferrari.

Pre-season testing is starting to show what I expected though, that existing Bridgestone runners have a much easier time than the newbies. They should have gone to slicks this year to even it all up a bit imo.
