Colin Giltrap says the government should put money into the A1 car, do u lot agree?

i'm sure they're eligible for sporting grants like all other sports teams? SPARC can give them money if they think it's a good idea. Not that I agree with their distribution of money, but that's not the point.

I kind of disagree. If Colin Giltrap wants to move back to NZ and pay taxes then maybe, just maybe.

I think one problem with them getting any funding is that, primarily, it's not popular in NZ. Secondly, it's not really a NZ 'team', it's only named that as part of the series' format/promotional angle. (much like Team America's teams).

Another tricky thing with A1 type racing series is that a great improvement in one year doesn't relate to anything the next year... you can't attain a higher level and keep it there... primarily because success will mean you'll lose your main player to another series - so you're back to square one (from a driving-talent point of view).
