even though we won what i wanna know is why do we still piss around with 6 wickets left at the end and were hitting singles. surely in the last 5 overs with 6 wickets left they would be swinging at every ball rather than pushing singles...

'swinging at every ball' its true ideally we'd be hittnig 6's every balll, but realistically the ball has to be there to be hit, so you have to choose the right ball to go for and if they are bowling well and we cant get them away to the boudary, then as Jeeves says, 1 is far better that none....

ok ill rephrase my statement
why do they try and block the ball when their wickets outnumber the overs left. some of the players were blatantly just trying to conserve their wickets and pick up a single if possible. surely some kind of offensive attack (cairns style) would have been better from ALL players when its obvious we werent going to get bowled out. in one dayers theres no excuse to even have wickets left at the end!!

but i'll quote you 'its obvious we wont get bowled out'.... ive seen plenty of times when we have collapsed and gone from getting a big 250+ total to getting less than 200 bcos every1 just threw the bat at the ball....
