With the world in economic meltdown, conflict and chaos the lyrics to If by Freemasons could never be more appropriate at the start of a new year in which none of us really know what the future holds. Originally written during a similar crisis back in the 70s and performed by Jackie Moore, the song If struck a chord with Freemasons and they recorded it for their album last year not knowing how events would make it a prophetic choice.
If was many Freemasons fans favourite track from the album Unmixed and so they decided to give it a spruce up for the clubs with their own 2009 Re-rub club mix and also include an excellent couple of remixes from hot up-and-coming DJ and producer Jolyon Petch from New Zealand. Hazel Fernades delivers the vocal with a huge amount of passion and soul that leaves you envigorated and optmistic - Hazel has been one of the best singers in the business having worked with many big names such as Jamiroquai and is currently on tour with Will Young. If is a digital only release which will be available in January.
