This is such a car-maker cliche. Most aerodynamic ideas used in cars have their history in either aeronautics or motorsport. It's nothing new at all.
Wouldn't it make more sense and be more impressive to say a car was modeled on a GT1 series Le Mans
car rather than a jet, a vehicle with no relevant technology in traction/brakes, gearbox, drive-train, handling etc? Shit, fighters probably don't even have stereos.
Car looks awesome though.
