KAREKARE OUTDOOR RAVE = Venue Change Info

We have been forced to change venues !!!! Potato is planting itself back underground ...

Why? Various bureaucratic difficulties (similar to those found by other event organisers in this forum)

Potato is (very) Raving Mad @ SILO !!!!!!!!

While no longer at the beach the new OUTDOOR location is at a very kick ass venue not too far from the original and only 20-30 mins drive from centre of town. Set times are now FRI 9PM - 8AM SAT.
We're not giving out details on the venue just now but we know people will be talking about it for a long time to come....

We now have TWO kick ass internationals playing in 2 genres - definitely worth attending. Chelfyn's Tribal Trance is wicked - I haven't heard sounds remotely like these outside of Fevah or Steve Lawler. Check the site for the updated line up.

To be at this wicked OUTSIDE event you will need 2 things:
1) A ticket ($15 from outlets before Wed, $20 after, more on the gate if available)
2) A map to the venue (available Wed at potatorave.com or ticket outlets with presentation of ticket)

Everyone registered at potatorave.com will be informed of the venue change by email and text message ASAP. Anyone arriving at Karekare with tickets on the night will also be given a map to the new site (not too far away). Otherwise for secrecy there will be no flyers or handouts so check the site for the map!!

whats the deal with the bus thing. Ive got about 4 people wanting to go on this bus. But we know nothing about it.. where does it leave from? etc...

Foghorn: There will be a crew with handout maps at Karekare to divert people to the new venue.

Paris: No bus will be confirmed until we have enough numbers!! Anyone wanting a place on the bus please post here !!! I would recommend finding backup transport in the meantime...

WOOHOO the weather forecast is ALL FINE for Fri nite & Sat

He he..I used to live just over the railway tracks and up a bit from the tank...but it's not a water tank, well, not originally anyways...back in WWII, it was built to store aviation fuel...where the railway track is, there was an extra bit of track that had tankers sitting on it. When early warnings came through of an air raid, the fuel could be pumped into the tankers, then the tankers were pushed along the tracks into the tunnel a little futher along the track.

Have always wondered what a party would be like in there...
