The C903 is a brilliant mobile phone with all of the essentials packed into a user interface that is very easy to use. After two months of use I have to say I love this phone.
I have never had a slider style phone in the past but this grew on me very fast. In fact it feels more natural when talking on the phone. Because it is a slide style phone it means you have a screen that is a decent size measuring in at 97(h) x 49(w) x 16(d) mm.
The keypad is flat style which allows for fast TXTing and transition between the keys. The general handing and work flow of the phone is very good in my opinion and I find its usability some of the easiest I have experienced. This includes the button layout as well as the general flow within the phones software.
The C903 has built in GPS which is great for all of you that use maps on the go.
The Sony Cyber shot camera with 5 mega pixels produces photos in line with some of the compact digital cameras. Its advanced functionality includes face detection which comes in handy along with a small flash which is great for night time photos. As the flash has minimal power output it is best used for objects reasonably close up.
The phones music capabilities are pretty standard for those wanting to also utilize it for listening to tunes. While it does not have the Walkman brand attached to it, it performs pretty well.
The built in video capture is also not bad and its quality plays back reasonable well on the phone itself. It is not ideal for playback on other large mediums such as the TV due to having a minimal number of frames per second but you will find this with most phones.
It is nice and light in your pocket weighing in at only 96g which is always a bonus.
I find it hard to fault this phone. The only thing that comes to mind is its sometimes slightly slow processing. But this may also come down to the fact I have it full with close to the maximum number of contacts on the phone due to the nature of my work.
If you are looking for a solid middle of the road phone with good features and a good quality camera with built in mini flash that is easy to use then I recommend this phone.
