Jesse McNeil took out round two of the MENU MAG DJ BATTLE with his unique sound of prog house.

It was INCREDIBLY easy to get lost in the music and feel like you were on a beach sipping back a cold one. Jesse’s ease behind the decks and seamless mixing sent him straight to the top.

All judges- CXL, Minuit, Adnan Balushi and Olli Odd voted him number one!

Good luck Jesse and we look forward to seeing you in the semi finals.

Sanka : Great selection of music. Great scratching and cut-mixing behind the decks. Great energy level maintained with the mixture of dub step and house beats. Need to practice more on maintaining the right levels when shifting from one track to another. Score – 69%

Jesse McNeil : Very unique sound, perfect for the beaches in Goa and Ibiza. Tremendous seamless and harmonized mixing during the set. There was a great level of energy in the set (started low and chill out and moved into energizing deep tech). Great showmanship behind the decks, looking at the crowd and testing the dance floor. Very relaxed and chilled. The winner ladies and gentlemen! Score – 76%

DJ Tone Def: Loved the Hip-Hop beats. Enjoyed the cut-mixing and was surprised with your scratching with the vinyls. Need more practice hours and that will perfect your sound, seamless looping, understand the keys and maintain the right levels. All in all will give you more exposure as a DJ. Score – 68%

Jeremy Iles: Loved the energy and passion behind the decks….a true DJ style. It represents confidence, enjoyment, passion and love for your sound. Despite having trouble with the channel levels, he was very confident to get technical, change channels and test them while maintaining the same energy on the dance floor. It was a tough decision. You win the Bronze. Score 72%

MAD : Dropped some great tunes, tunes that rocked big dance floors. Very great set. Great mixing, maintained right levels and had seamless looping. Like your style. When you choose to play commercial / electro then you need to make sure every set you drop must have 70% of latest or new tracks all the time. It keeps your set unique…I learned this strategy from Pete Tong and it works. You have a gift of selecting nice tunes. Keep it goin. You were the runner up for the night. Score 74%
